Our Hmong Language Program is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Hmong language by providing accessible learning opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds. Through structured courses and community-based learning, we help students build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking Hmong.

The Hmong Language Program is offered free to the community and is open to anyone interested in learning the Hmong language. Whether you are completely new or looking to strengthen your existing skills, our program provides a supportive and welcoming environment for learners at all levels.

Your Journey Into Hmong Language
Course Levels
Designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of the Hmong language, this course focuses on building foundational skills. Participants will learn basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple sentence structures to begin reading, writing, and speaking with confidence.
For those who already have a basic understanding of Hmong, this course focuses on strengthening language skills through more complex reading, writing, and conversation. Students will continue to build fluency and deepen their understanding of the language in practical and meaningful ways.
Preserving Language, Strengthening Identity
Language is one of the most important ways culture is preserved and passed down. For many in the Hmong community, the ability to speak and understand the language is closely tied to identity, family connection, and cultural pride.
However, as generations grow and adapt to new environments, fewer individuals may have the opportunity to learn or maintain fluency in the Hmong language. Without intentional efforts, this important part of cultural identity can be lost over time.
